As a point of information, only University of Chicago students are eligible, and priority has generally been given to students who demonstrate financial need, who are in the first four years of graduate school where tuition is highest, and for use during the academic year. Awards are normally in the $1,500-5,000 range, and the number and amounts of awards depends upon the above criteria, the number of applicants, and the amount of funds from the endowment income. Please contact Brooke Noonan at brookec@uchicago.edu (Administration, Room 225) if you have any questions.
* If students will not have a financial aid application on file with their Dean of Students, they must provide information on the following:
- total indebtedness for academic study (e.g., student loans including personal loans, etc.);
- all sources and amounts of income for 2008-09; include money from jobs, spouse's/partner's income, financial help from parents, assets, investments, etc.;
- number of persons in the household.
